Welcome to Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar, a delightful eatery nestled in Leland, NC. Located at 1175 Turlington Ave Unit 101, this vibrant establishment offers a seafood experience that is hard to beat. With a focus on fresh, high-quality oysters and a laid-back coastal atmosphere, Shuckin' Shack is a haven for seafood lovers.
One of the standout features of Shuckin' Shack is their Monday steamed oyster special. Patrons rave about the perfectly cooked oysters, which remain juicy and flavorful—a common complaint among other establishments that tend to overcook them. At just $0.75 each, it's a deal too good to pass up! As one satisfied customer, David Thomas, notes, "They were great. Not dry and a good size." It's these small details that make all the difference.
The menu extends beyond oysters. Guests can indulge in a variety of dishes, from mouth-watering wings to fried cod that has been deemed the best in North Carolina by some diners. With a satisfying crunch and a burst of flavor, the fried shrimp is another crowd favorite, complemented by an array of condiments, including horseradish, Old Bay, and hot sauce—as noted by Tamisha Hill.
Shuckin' Shack also boasts a robust beverage selection. Ice-cold beers are served in chilled glasses, enhancing your dining experience on warm summer days. Diane Ruete mentions the welcoming outdoor area with live bands, creating a lively atmosphere that pairs perfectly with good company and delicious food.
The friendly and attentive staff make every visit enjoyable, earning high marks for their service. Guests consistently mention the quick turnaround on food and drinks, which is important for those eager to dive into these delectable seafood offerings. As Dee Esss notes, "Service was fabulous!! Food was nice and hot."
So whether you're in the mood for a casual meal or a night out featuring live entertainment, Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar delivers an experience that promises to please. “ My wife and I decided to try another Shuckin Shack instead of going downtown Wilmington and fighting for a parking space! We are glad we did; our server Marianna was great. She took her time to make sure all went well and offered great advice! My wife’s crab cakes were perfect and since she got 2 in her sandwich she saved one to enjoy at home! We had a dozen Grand Strand oysters on the half shell and they were large, juicy and briny! Perfect for our appetizer! ”
